Vancouver Symphony Orchestra

Calm before the storm. An early incarnation of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra poses on April 25, 1920 at the old Orpheum Theatre. Alas, the organizer, Henry Green, skipped town a year later with all of the money. It wouldn’t be until 1930 that the VSO would resurrect.
