Vancouver jewelry brand Melanie Auld has opened a new location in Kitsilano.

Jewellery designer Melanie Auld got her start in a beachy boho pink and white showroom on West 6th just off Granville Street.

The space was originally an office and hub for the primarily online jewellery operation. At the time, Auld specialized in ultra-delicate gold necklaces and charms, but over the years she has expanded into more precious stones, higher-carat golds, coloured enamel and even men's jewellery. As her brand grew and evolved, so did the space. The West 6th showroom became open to the public, shoppable and a venue for piercing events.

After opening a boutique in Toronto last year, Auld is entering a new chapter in Vancouver with a fresh space on West 4th in Kitsilano.

Auld has always built beautiful spaces to house her jewellery and the new flagship store is no exception.

The earthy beige, brown, and maroon tones that permeate the shop are indicative of the brand's maturity. It still feels true to its organic boho roots but there's plenty of sophistication and elegance too.

The store offers complimentary piercings on-site with the purchase of studs (which range from $120 to $250). They also offer engraving services and weld permanent jewellery in-store. Customers can choose from a selection of 10k and 14K chains and charms to be customized and welded around a wrist, ankle, or neck.

The new location is open now at 2077 West 4th Ave.
