A partial closure of the Stanley Park Seawall has been extended (again)

Damage along the Stanley Park Seawall was dealt by a windstorm that smashed Metro Vancouver on Nov. 15, 2021.

A closed section of the Stanley Park Seawall is expected to reopen after over a month's worth of repairs comes to an end.

Closed since Nov. 15, the seawall between Lions Gate and Third Beach is now expected to reopen by Dec. 18 according to a statement from the Vancouver Park Board. The seawall received remains closed to the public following damage inflicted by last week's king tide. Before that, repairs were underway following a severe windstorm that struck B.C. on Nov. 15.
