The pandemic has been tough on everyone, but volunteers have been taking their time to help out as much as they can in the community.
Helen Huang, a Richmond News reader, is giving a shout-out to a very dedicated lady who she has been picking up garbage at the General Currie elementary playground every morning.
“She has been volunteering to do so for more than a year,” said Huang, adding that she is there every day from Monday to Sunday.
“She makes the school bright and clean. She said she just wanted to do something for the community.”
Huang had asked for her name, but was only told that the students called her “Grandma Lee.”
“Thank you Grandma Lee!”
