There are now 2,904 cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in B.C. after health officials announced 26 new cases Monday.
There were 10 new cases from Friday to Saturday, 14 cases from Saturday to Sunday, and two new cases from Sunday to Monday.
Provincial health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry reports that there are 979 cases in Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), 1,529 in Fraser Health, 131 on Vancouver Island, 200 in Interior Health and 65 in Northern Health.
There have been no new health-care facility outbreaks. In total, five long-term care or assisted-living facilities and one acute-care facility have active outbreaks.
Health officials say a number of people who attended Brandi's Exotic Show Lounge in recent days have since tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
While the health agency is asking people who were at the lounge between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. from June 21-24, as well as the hours between midnight and 3 a.m. on June 25, to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days, it says as long as people remain healthy and do not develop symptoms, there is no need to self-isolate, meaning they can continue with their usual daily activities.
The Beresford Warming Shelter outbreak has been declared over.
There have been no new COVID-19 related deaths in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, for a total of 174 deaths in British Columbia.
There are currently 18 people in acute care in hospital and five are in intensive care.
There are 153 active cases of COVID-19 in the province and 2,577 people who tested positive have recovered.
