A Port Moody school kicked off Real Acts of Caring Week on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) to help kids who have lost their hair to cancer and other illnesses.
Staff and students at Moody Middle rose to the challenge, set by vice principal Kathryn Jung, to raise $1,000 for Wigs for Kids BC.
The campaign is on conjunction with BC Children's Hospital Foundation (BCCHF).
Teacher Carole Paquette also encouraged students to join her in donating their long locks for children in need.
Their hair was chopped off for the cause by Paul Bousaleh of PaulBHair.com, Angella Cottreau (@angellashairapy) and Rachelle Garcia of Mint Hair Lounge.
