The City of Vancouver says a fallen tree is blocking traffic in both directions on Commercial Drive.
Commercial Drive is currently closed in both directions at William St. due to a fallen tree, which also took down trolley wires, explains the city in a Tweet.
Fire crews are currently on site. However, it will take some time before the street is re-opened.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Power outages affect thousands of BC Hydro customers in Metro Vancouver
BC Hydro is reporting several power outages across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island due to powerful winds.
Earlier this morning, Environment Canada issued a wind warning for Metro Vancouver calling for gusts up to 70 km/hr in the region. The warning notes that the high winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
BC Hydro has tweeted numerous times, noting that the region is seeing the impacts of the B.C. storm. The company adds that "If you see a tree on a power line or a damaged pole, it's an emergency. Stay back at least 10 metres and dial 9-1-1 to report."
