Convicted killer who failed to return to halfway house in police custody

Vancouver police have apprehended a felon who did not return to his halfway house.

UPDATE NOV.21 6:30AM: 33-year-old Ryan Patrick Beaulieu, a federal offender wanted for failing to return to his Vancouver halfway house, was arrested by the Vancouver Police late Tuesday night and remains in custody.

Vancouver police are asking the public to provide any information that may lead to the location of a convicted killer.

33-year-old Ryan Patrick Beaulieu is a federal offender serving a five-year-eight-month sentence for manslaughter. Currently, he's wanted for failing to return to his Vancouver halfway house.

Beaulieu has an extensive criminal history that includes assaulting a peace officer, and is Aboriginal, 5’11” tall, 166 pounds, and has short black hair with brown eyes. He also has a tattoo of the word “Love” on his left hand, as well as other tattoos on his neck and right eyebrow.

He was last seen just before 5 pm on November 15, wearing a red Chicago Bulls hat, a red sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and glasses. In addition, he carried a black backpack.
