The United Rugby Club’s women’s second division team is riding an undefeated season into Saturday’s, May 4, BC Rugby finals at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex East (3760 Sperling Ave.).

The Coquitlam-based side will face the Comox Valley Kickers on field one at 11 a.m.

United’s women earned their way to the final after a grinding 5-0 win over James Bay in a steady rainstorm at Centennial Oval last Saturday, April 27.

Comox Valley defeated the Nanaimo Hornets in its semi-final.

The match is a chance for United to redeem its 26-20 loss to Nanaimo in last year’s final after another undefeated season.

Eight senior women’s and men’s titles will be contested on three fields in the day-long festival of rugby championships.

Advance tickets are available online for $15, or $20 at the gate. Admission is free for anyone under 19 years old.
