Coquitlam to patch potholes at this Lougheed Highway intersection

Plan on taking the northbound route into Coquitlam? You may want to plan an alternate route.

Potholes are a pain.

Some have begun to form along Lougheed Highway (7) on the Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam border, and local road crews are set to repair some of the more annoying ones tomorrow (Jan. 20).

Coquitlam workers will be patching up potholes reported to the city near Highway 7 and Pitt River Road.

More specifically, the resurfacing is set to take place on the northbound side and just south of the intersection.

As a result, traffic will be reduced to single-lane.

Southbound drivers, however, will not be impacted by the construction.

The four-hour repair could cause some delays for mid-day commutes, and, if using this route, the City of Coquitlam encourages drivers to either take extra time or plan an alternate route.

The pothole patching is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.
