The Surrey RCMP says a delivery truck crashed into a Surrey home this week.

The vehicle crashed into the garage of a residence in the 14200-block of 98A Avenue, Surrey RCMP spokesperson Corporal Joanie Sidhu tells Vancouver Is Awesome. The vehicle came to a stop once it struck the vehicle inside the garage, but the driver was stuck inside.

Driver suffers minor injuries

"The driver was stuck in the vehicle until he was removed by Surrey Fire Services," she says.

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Speed and alcohol were not a factor in the crash, and Sidhu says "early indications are the cause of the crash was a result of a mechanical malfunction."
