**Update: All lanes on the Lions Gate Bridge are currently open, with two lanes heading northbound. DriveBC still advises road users to expect major delays.
Those planning to get off the North Shore for some outdoor recreating with 10 or fewer friends or family may want to plan their route accordingly.
The right lane heading southbound on the Lions Gate Bridge has been closed for maintenance, according to the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
Road users should expect major delays and are advised to pass with care, according to a tweet from the ministry’s DriveBC account.
Luckily, getting outside with a small group in a COVID-safe, responsible manner isn’t that hard to do on the North Shore, so really there’s no reason to take one of the bridges today anyway.
