Need an extra bedroom? Someone in Vancouver is renting out their RV as a mobile guest room

Need an extra bed for your guests? It comes with a whole vehicle.

Have friends or family visiting Vancouver this summer?

Do they want to stay over at your place even though you live in a shoe box apartment with the square footage of a Mini Cooper?

If you can get a hold of some street parking, this might just be the solution. Someone is renting their 23' RV as a sort of mobile guest room.

"Don’t have a spare room? I will bring my 23’ RV to your home for them to have a place to stay," they write in a Craigslist ad.

The RV owner says the vehicle sleeps six comfortably, and from the photos inside there are at least two separate sleep spaces. It's also got a small kitchen, table and bathroom, so your guests rarely have to come inside.

The guest room on wheels is running $150 per night for a minimum of two nights, but there are deals to be had for longer stays.

Turning mobile camping into local accommodation is also the theme of another Craigslist ad, but this time they're looking for a short/mid-term tenant. Someone is renting a camper trailer in East Vancouver. The ad says it's a private bedroom situation; in photos, the trailer is parked in a driveway.

"You'll love this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ clean and cozy place, there is a heater in the room, quiet neighbourhood. There are 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, kitchen appliances, living room and washer and dryer in the suite," states the ad.

It also pushes the trailer's location, near several bus routes. Rent is $900 if the new resident is only staying for one or two months. Longer tenants will pay $700 per month.

There are some rules to follow, though including no smoking tobacco, no cannabis, no other drugs, no drunks, no parties, no pets and no overnight visitors.
