Vancouver police investigating fatal car crash in South Vancouver

Vancouver police collision investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash. Police suspect the man may have been in medical distress.

A 59-year-old Vancouver man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Marpole Monday night.

Around 8:45 p.m., the driver was heading west on North Kent Avenue when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle struck a lamp post.

Police, fire and paramedics responded but the man died at the scene.

Vancouver police collision investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash. Police suspect the man may have been in medical distress before the crash.

This is Vancouver’s 11th motor vehicle fatality of 2019.
