In October, the company asked all natural gas customers in the province to turn down their thermostats as well as reduce use of all other natural gas appliances in order to conserve energy.
BC’s natural gas supply will be limited over the coming months, and therefore FortisBC is asking customers to focus on conservation measures to help ensure a sufficient supply of natural gas through this winter.
On December 7, the company tweeted an image of a sweater with the hashtag #ReduceYourUse, imploring residents to don a cozy sweater instead of cranking up the heat.
This winter, while gas supply in BC remains restricted, reach for a sweater to help stay warm without turning up the heat https://t.co/p7YWusPWie #NaturalGas #ReduceYourUse pic.twitter.com/K4OI0LyKJc
