With Vancouver gas prices set to reach their lowest point in 2022 this week, we're now at the incredibly odd place where we're thankful to pay $1.55 per litre for the stuff.
Some of us are old enough to remember the days when $.60/litre felt like literal highway robbery. Still younger drivers might even recall a time when the price was less than a buck, and we're all collectively moaning about the fact that it isn't anymore.
Yet our fuel prices right now are actually less than the global average per litre, which is $1.78 CDN, so it could be said that gas is cheap here. Heck, I guess I'll say it.
We've got cheap gas, folks.
