A Vancouver father is sharing an adorable video of a group of geese he filmed crossing the road near the Seawall to get to the water.
In an email, Buck Jolicoeur tells Vancouver Is Awesome that he was setting off with his son for a bike ride on the Seawall on June 8. As they did, he says they spotted a, "parade of geese around the corner."
"My son said “Let’s help them” and we did," writes Jolicoeur.
Along the way, the pair met a mother and her son who helped them create a safe crossing for the geese. What's more, they say that two more families of geese saw the opportunity to get out of the parking lot and close to the water.
"It was a very special experience for us, that we’d love to share with Vancouverites," adds Jolicoeur.
Jolicoeur says that he sent the video to V.I.A. because it is a perfect example of why Vancouver is an awesome place.
The video begins with the geese walking single file along a rode, and the son commenting, "There's so many of them." A car passes by the geese, and appears to nearly strike them. However, the geese travel safely for two blocks over to the Science World area.
Here’s a cute video of the feathery encounter.
