Suns out, buns out!

While it might feel a bit too nippy to don your swimsuit at the beach, the Vancouver weather forecast calls for a rare sunny stretch this week with a couple of double-digit daily high temperatures.

Starting Monday (March 8), Environment Canada calls for sunshine and a high of 10°C followed by a low 5°C overnight. Tuesday is expected to see a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 11°C during the day and a cooler overnight low of 3°C.

On Wednesday, the forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 9°C during the day followed by a chilly overnight low of 1°C. Thursday is expected to be bright and sunny, with the forecast calling for clear skies and a high of 9°C during the day.

The sunshine isn't expected to carry into the weekend, however. Starting Friday, the forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers throughout the day. Similarly, the forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers on Saturday and Sunday, with daily highs climbing back into the double-digits.
