NEWS RELEASE
HELPING HAND FOOD BANK

Bradford’s Helping Hand Food Bank is currently recruiting to fill several vacant positions on its board of directors.

The board is made up of a diverse group of individuals committed to combating food insecurity in our community. With an increase in both demand and ongoing operational costs, the Helping Hand Food Bank needs to grow now more than ever to keep pace. That’s where the board of directors comes in, overseeing strategy, providing guidance, and raising awareness for our food bank in Bradford West Gwillimbury and beyond.

“The work of our board is crucial to the growth of our organization,” says Carolyn Khan, executive director of the Helping Hand Food Bank. “With the right group of individuals in place, we will continue to grow to meet rising demand and help ensure that everyone in our community has access to the food they need, when they need it.”

The board is looking to fill several director seats, as well as the role of treasurer. All board members are elected into their positions by voting members at the organization’s annual general meeting in June.

Individuals interested in joining the board can contact [email protected] by May 17 to learn more.
