Environment Canada is calling for subzero temperatures in Metro Vancouver as well as a couple of opportunities for snowfall this weekend and heading into next week.
Starting on Wednesday (Dec. 15), the national forecaster calls for a few wet flurries in the morning followed by a mainly cloudy afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 6°C during the day and a low of 2°C overnight.
While Thursday is expected to be cooler during the day (reaching a high of 4°C), the forecast doesn't include an opportunity for snowfall; the evening forecast includes a 30 per cent chance of showers and an overnight low of 3°C.
Friday and Saturday are expected to see rain, while Sunday's forecast includes a chance of showers during the day with a chance of showers or flurries overnight. Temperatures are also expected to dip below freezing overnight Sunday, bringing a chance of flurries during the day Monday.
Monday night is expected to be cloudy with a chilly overnight low of -2°C.
