While Metro Vancouverites were privy to some sunshine during the morning and early afternoon on Wednesday (March 2), the forecast includes the possibility of thunderstorms throughout the day.
Starting late Wednesday afternoon, Environment Canada warns that there is a risk of thunderstorms and a 40 per cent chance of showers. The evening is also expected to see some showers and there is a possibility of thunderstorms.
The stormy weather is expected to end by Thursday, although there is a 60 per cent chance of showers during the day; the evening is expected to be clear.
Starting Friday, however, the forecast includes five straight days of bright sunshine with double-digit daily highs. But the clear skies will make for chilly overnight lows, with temperatures dropping down between 2°C and 3°C.
