Yesterday CBC reporter Chantelle Bellrichard happened upon an interesting scene at Kits Beach, and took us through it on Twitter.
She started with a photo of a sailboat surrounded by a group of people, with the caption "Some kind of sailboat pushing situation happening at Kits Beach".

Next was a video of people surrounding the boat, deciding what to do. "Not quite sure what the plan is here...".
At this point every person who has ever seen this happen before, or has a basic understanding of how tides work, was scrolling their phone knowing how this story was going to end. I am one of those people and I was certain these fools were going to push and push and push and then finally give up and wait for high tide.
But they did not.
They persisted.
They are not fools; they are everyday heroes and they should all receive some sort of Best Beach Dweller medal from the City.
Watch below as this crew somehow does the impossible and frees the boat!
