Collingwood Public Library is developing a new strategic plan and invites the public to participate in a community survey to help establish priorities.

Public input on the library’s services, programs and facilities will provide valuable feedback that will help develop the plan to meet community needs.

“Whether or not you are a regular user of library services, we want to hear from you!” said Youth Services Coordinator Amy Arsenio. “All feedback is welcome and will be considered as we set our direction for the next several years. We are particularly interested in feedback from the youth of the community and are offering volunteer hours for each submitted survey.”

The survey only takes a couple of minutes and can be accessed online by visiting this linked to the community survey on our website. Or, if you prefer to come into the library there are paper copies available, and staff will be available if you require support.

Arsenio, who is part of the strategic planning committee, explains “the strategic plan is a guide that connects what we do in the day-to-day with our vision for the future. We are excited to hear from the public to find out what we are doing well, and where we can improve. Let us know your preferred programs and services, and how you want to find out about them. If you have new ideas to benefit the community, we want to know! These are key elements in determining strategic directions and an opportunity for your insights to shape the future of our library.”

The deadline to complete the survey is Sunday, May 30.
