Man in hospital after Downtown Eastside stabbing: VPD

“This man is battling for his life and we believe that someone knows something about this assault and can assist investigators in finding out what happened."

Vancouver Police are asking the public for information regarding a stabbing that took place over the weekend on the Downtown Eastside and left a 27-year-old Vancouver man with life-threatening injuries.

In a release, VPD state that the victim was stabbed near East Hastings Street and Main Street in the early morning hours of Sundsay, April 26. Following the attack, the man made his was to the area of Dunlevy Street and East Hastings Street where he was picked up and taken to a local hospital. 

The victim is currently recovering in hospital. 

“This man is battling for his life and we believe that someone knows something about this assault and can assist investigators in finding out what happened,” says Sergeant Aaron Roed VPD.  “We are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything regarding this assault to please call investigators.”
