Man with active arrest warrants in several jurisdictions, including the Sunshine Coast, arrested in Surrey

"Wagner was wanted for various offences some of which included assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a firearm," said the RCMP release.

Zachary Wagner, 32, who had active arrest warrants out in Sunshine Coast, Fort St John, Prince Rupert, Terrace and Whitehorse was arrested at a traffic stop in Surrey Feb. 16, according to a Surrey RCMP press release

"Wagner was wanted for various offences some of which included assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a firearm," said the release.  

Surrey RCMP Gang Enforcement Team conducted the traffic stop shortly after 10 p.m.

"Wagner was transported to Surrey RCMP cells and remains in custody awaiting his next court appearance," said the release.
