Metro Vancouver police clock Porsche driver going near double the speed limit

The penalty comes with a hefty fine.

A Porsche driver was caught travelling near twice the speed limit in Surrey, B.C.

A Metro Vancouver driver was issued a hefty fine after they were caught speeding nearly double the posted limit. 

Surrey RCMP's Traffic Community Response Unit shared a photo on Twitter at 10 a.m. this morning (May 5) of a Porsche that was pulled over for excessive speeding along the 4800-block of King George Boulevard.

The tweet states that the driver was travelling 136 km/h in a 70 km/h zone. They were stopped at 3:15 p.m. on April 21.

Along with having the vehicle impounded for seven days, the penalty comes with a $483 fine.
