The District of North Vancouver is closing off more parking lots near popular parks to ward off crowds gathering in violation of the province’s COVID-19 physical distancing orders.

Starting Saturday, the parking lots at Panorama Park, Deep Cove Park, Cates Park/Whey-ah-wichen and Kilmer Park will be closed to vehicle access.

Additionally, street parking is being prohibited on several roads typically used for accessing mountain trails, specifically Berkley Avenue, Hyannis Drive and Riverside Drive in Blueridge, Mountain Highway south of Coleman in Lynn Valley and Indian River Drive to Woodlands.

Previously, the district closed off Quarry Rock, Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, Mount Fromme parking lot, all skate and BMX parks, playgrounds, picnic shelters and sports courts.
