The polls are open today for byelections in two B.C. ridings, one of which is right here in Vancouver.

Voters on southern Vancouver Island in Langford-Juan de Fuca and in Vancouver-Mount Pleasant will be filling positions vacant since late March following the departures from the legislature of former premier John Horgan and cabinet minister Melanie Mark, both of whom were members of the NDP.

Horgan had held the Langford riding since 2005, while Mark was first elected in Mount Pleasant in 2016.
