A Burnaby seniors care business is hiring.

A Burnaby seniors-care provider is looking to hire up to eight new part-time and full-time caregivers.

Demand for home care continues to grow as seniors isolate because of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Burnaby Home Instead franchise owner Harpreet Singh, so his business is looking to fill positions starting next week.

“Professional caregivers can serve as an extension of the health-care system and play a critical role in keeping vulnerable Burnaby seniors safe and healthy at home,” Singh said in a news release.

Caregivers help with tasks, including personal care, preparing meals, running errands and providing companionship, so seniors can stay in their homes.

Singh said the job can be a “rewarding career for individuals from every walk of life and age group.”
