You can enjoy outdoor yoga classes in Vancouver this month

As a result of the reduced class sizes, you’ll need to book a spot in advance if you want to partake in the flexible-fun.

Vancouver yogis, rejoice!

The Mat Collective outdoor summer season started in the city this week.

To kick the season off, the yoga company says it will offer classes starting on June 9 at the Kits Beach Maritime Museum location, twice a week. There will be smaller class sizes, at least two evening time slots to choose from, and larger spaces between mats.

As a result of the reduced class sizes, you’ll need to book a spot in advance if you want to partake in the flexible-fun.

You are also asked to be respectful of other participants, bring your own mat, and arrive with enough time (15-20 minutes) to check in and set up your space safely.

"Thank you for your kind words and encouragement to reopen this season. We’re so lucky to have a supportive community who wants to learn and grown (and do yoga) with us," say Selina and the Matt Collective team.

Classes will be between $12.50 to $18.50 per pass with discounts for multipacks and the option to supplement a community member in need.

First two outdoor classes are happening this Tuesday! Join our team captain Liv (@livlaw.1) for an hour long all level flow class at 6pm or 7:30pm. Liv grew up in England, as a swimmer on the national talent squad for swimming in the UK. She plays trombone, loves dogs, iced coffee and snacking on Chicago mix popcorn. Liv has taught all over the city in a lot of different studios, so you might recognize her from anywhere! If this is your first class with Liv, get ready for fun-filled flows that will challenge you, in a good way, lots of play, laughter and reflection. Reminder, this season you must pre-register for classes and arrive early to check in and set up your spot. If you would like to buy class passes, fill out our waiver or check schedule visit our website or follow link in bio.
