Who let the dogs out!
The Vancouver Park Board announces that it has re-reopened the off-leash dog parks that it closed in late March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the dog parks have re-opened to the public and their furry best pals, the Park Board reminds everyone to practice good hand hygiene, by washing and/or sanitizing their hands open. In particular, people should ensure their hands are clean before and after opening gates.
You are responsible for Fido's actions while enjoying Vancouver's parks. Make sure you pick up and dispose of your dog's waste, and also ensure you have a valid license for your pooch.
Animal Control Bylaw enforcement takes place at all parks and beaches throughout the year. If you don't follow the bylaw, you may get slapped with fines between $250 and $2,000.
People should also continue to practice safe physical distancing of at least two metres from others outside of their homes.
