Pattullo Bridge lane closures postponed from this week

Northbound lanes had been set to close on Friday night, but the Government of B.C. is postponing the work.

The Pattullo Bridge will no longer close to northbound traffic overnight on Friday, Aug. 12. Lane closures have been averted as the Government of B.C. has postponed construction work on the bridge replacement project.

Planned closures on the Pattullo Bridge this Friday night have been postponed.

TransLink had previously announced that the bridge would only be open to southbound traffic into Surrey overnight on Friday, Aug. 12, to allow for work on the Pattullo Bridge replacement project.

It's just updated that announcement with a media release on Tuesday (Aug. 8) at 4 p.m.

"The planned work by the Government of British Columbia on the Pattullo Bridge announced this week is being postponed. All lanes on the bridge and bridge connector will remain open to traffic as usual on Friday night," TransLink's release says. "The work will be rescheduled at a later date."
