The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is investigating the deaths of two women found in a vehicle in Vancouver's Point Grey neighbourhood.
The pair were discovered Sunday, Feb. 21, in a vehicle near West 8th Avenue and Discover Street by a neighbour out for a walk who called police, according to a press release. They had been shot dead.
The VPD Emergency Response Team was called in to search a house near where the victims were found as police thought there may be more victims inside. Investigators then spent much of Sunday collecting evidence.
Police say the murders were targeted.
"The victims have been identified as Shu-Min Wu, 50, and Ying Ying Sun, 39," says the VPD.
These are the first two homicides of 2022 in Vancouver.
