Police seek suspect who spat in woman's face at Vancouver bus stop

Vancouver police are looking for a man after he allegedly spat in a woman's face.

The Vancouver Police Department is looking for a suspect who allegedly spat in a woman's face on March 8.

The incident happened at a bus stop in South Vancouver. The victim was waiting at the stop on 41st Avenue near Fraser Street when a stranger spat in her face for no apparent reason.

Police describe the suspect as a 50 to 60-year-old white male with a beard standing about 5'6".

In a tweet, police note that in 2021 there were nearly 300 spitting assaults in Vancouver. Of those, 72 per cent involved complete strangers.
