For some British Columbians, today's windstorm offered little more than a bad hair day or a frustrating battle with a flimsy umbrella; other people may not have even left their homes.
That said, BC Hydro had 63 outages listed in the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast earlier today, and many of the outages stated that a tree had fallen down on the wires, while others simply read "windstorm" as the cause. In total, a whopping 29, 258 customers were affected by the outages in the area.
While the wind warning has ended, Environment Canada calls for winds of 20 km/h gusting to 40 tonight, except northwest 60 near the Strait of Georgia.
From fallen trees to destroyed patio furniture, sheets of cold rain to billowing, majestic clouds, have a look at some of the moments that locals caught in photographs and on video of today's B.C. storm.
