Protestors calling for immediate government action on the global climate crisis are currently blocking traffic in Downtown Vancouver.
The demonstration is currently blocking traffic near the intersection of Georgia and Thurlow Streets, where hundreds of locals have gathered to protest pipelines, logging of old-growth forests, and global pollution.
The demonstration is part of the "global climate strike" on Sept. 24 and demonstrators are chanting "no pipelines on stolen land."
A group of demonstrators calling on the B.C. government to take urgent action on the climate emergency plans to block a major intersection in Vancouver on Saturday, too.
