"Did anyone lose their purple vibrator at Commercial-Broadway?"

A person saw a purple sex toy lying on a Vancouver SkyTrain station platform in March 2023.

A Metro Vancouverite spotted a rare purple object on a SkyTrain platform recently.

While it isn't an uncommon item, it isn't often that you spot a sex toy outside of the boudoir or an adult shop that sells them.

But someone snapped a picture of what appears to be a purple dildo with a vibrator sitting out in the open on the Commercial-Broadway SkyTrain platform.

In a Reddit post, the person asks, "Did anyone lose their purple vibrator at Commercial-Broadway?"

The individual notes that the adult toy was spotted around 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, March 19.

TransLink spokesperson Thor Diakow told V.I.A. that the transportation agency has not encountered this type of item on its system before.

"Since it can't be sent to auction or donated, it would have to be discarded," he explained.

"Discarded items include perishable foods and any unsanitary items."

While the eyebrow-raising item won't make it back to its owner, many other items, such as clothing, backpacks, and other associated accessories, are kept at TransLink's Lost Property Office to be claimed by customers.

"If prescription drugs are found, the particular pharmacy is notified and they may contact the customer directly. Other legal drugs are temporarily stored; they are disposed of if not claimed after a period of time. If weapons are found or turned in, Transit Police are notified," added Diakow.
