Rain or Shine Ice Cream
While there is never a bad time to donate blood, a January donation could score you a delicious treat, too.
Rain or Shine Ice Cream encourages people to donate blood in exchange for a pint of their heavenly ice cream. Using the hashtag #pintforapint, they are encouraging much needed blood donations to the Oak Street Clinic.
Starting on January 1, 2019, participants must pick up a card (while supplies last), before going to the clinic.
You may pick up a card at one of the following locations:
- Cambie - 3382 Cambie St
- Kits - 1926 W 4th Ave #102
- UBC - 6001 University Boulevard
Once you finish donating blood, a volunteer will stamp your card. Afterwards, you can then redeem it on January 31st at one of the three shops for a free pint of ice cream - yum!
