Did you forget your umbrella at home today?

If you did, you might get a little bit wet on your walk home...or a lot.

Mother nature began dropping buckets of rain on the Metro Vancouver region Friday (June 3) morning, and more of the wet weather is expected through the weekend.

Environment Canada calls for 15 to 25 mm of rainfall Friday and a high of 16°C with an overnight low of 12°C. There's a 60 per cent chance of showers overnight, too.

Metro Vancouver Weather Forecast

To kick off the weekend, Saturday's forecast includes a mix of sun and cloud with a 40 percent chance of showers and a high of 19°C and an overnight low of 13°C. Some light wind is also expected during the day, which might get up to 30 km/h near the water.

Sunday is expected to see rain throughout the day, with a high of 17°C. The overnight forecast includes cloudy periods and a low of 11°C.

For now, it looks like Monday might offer a respite from the wet weather, as the forecast includes cloudy periods throughout the day. And by Tuesday, locals may even have an opportunity to enjoy some bright sunshine.
