RCMP continue to search for missing 40-year-old woman in Metro Vancouver

Ridge Meadows RCMP is once again calling on the public to help find a missing 40-year-old woman who hasn’t been seen or heard from in eight days.

Atefeh Jadidian was last seen leaving her workplace in the 22800 block area of Lougheed Highway at around 4 p.m. Feb. 19.

Police said family and friends became concerned for her well-being when she didn’t show up for work on Feb. 20 and failed to let anyone know. They said the behaviour was “considered out of character” for Jadidian.

Police have released two surveillance pictures of Jadidian’s last known whereabouts in the hope that someone will recognize her. The first image shows Jadidian walking through a business parking lot in the 24000 block area of Dewdney trunk road, where her vehicle was also found.

On Feb. 28, police released another picture which shows Jadidan walking East in the 24800 block area of Dewdney Trunk road at around 5:30 p.m. Police are now calling on anyone who may have been driving on Dewdney Trunk Road between 248th Street and 270th Street on Feb. 19 between 5:25 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. to check their dash camera footage.

Further to this, police are asking any residents who live between 248th Street and 270th Street anywhere along Dewdney Trunk Road, including side streets, to check their properties for anything suspicious or out of place and to check doorbell cameras or home video surveillance.

Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue has also searched the area surrounding Cliff Park between 252nd Street and 256th Street in Kanaka Regional Park.

Jadidian is described as Middle eastern descent, 5'5" tall, 137 lbs, with brown eyes and brown shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a light grey puffy jacket with hood, dark-coloured pant, a navy, and light blue striped shirt, and dark brown boots.
