Richmond RCMP seek help to return cremated remains left at airport

Police are asking for the public's help to reunite remains with rightful custodian.

A package containing cremated remains was left at the airport in late November, and Richmond RCMP are trying to find the rightful custodian.

On Nov. 27, a package was left at the outbound screening point in the international terminal of Vancouver International Airport.

The package was turned over to Richmond RCMP, and after it was examined, it was determined to contain cremated remains.

Police didn't specify whether they were human or animal remains.

They are now asking the public’s help to return these cremated remains to the rightful custodian.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212 and quote file number 2023-41046.
