Richmond RCMP is looking to identify a woman who was found deceased near Graybar Road in May.

The Richmond RCMP is asking for the public's help in identifying a woman who was found dead.

Police found the woman in the 6900-block of Graybar Rd., along the south arm of the Fraser River in east Richmond, on May 2, 2022.

She was found on an older 40-foot yacht that was in dry dock at the marina.

A composite sketch was released after police worked with its investigation team and the BC Coroners Service.

The woman is described as a Caucasian female, 30 to 40 years of age, five feet five inches tall, 90 pounds with brown eyes and shoulder-length curly dark hair.

She also has missing teeth on her upper left side of the mouth and was wearing a purple or dark blue sweater with gold threading when found.

We are hoping that by releasing this sketch, a family member, friend or acquaintance will be able to help us identify her, said Cpl. Ian Henderson, spokesperson for the Richmond RCMP.

It is important that we find her next-of-kin, so they can be properly notified of her passing.

Her death is not considered suspicious at this time, according to RCMP.

Anyone who recognizes this woman is asked to call the Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212 quoting file number 2022-11448.
