Richmond should dodge forecasted snow on Tuesday

Richmond should miss most of the snow forecast for Tuesday night
This week's weather forecast for Richmond.

Weather forecasters are calling for up to four centimetres of snow tonight in Metro Vancouver.

But don’t panic, none of it is expected to fall in Richmond, with higher elevations only affected, according to Environment Canada.

Environment Canada is forecasting a cloudy day Tuesday for Richmond, followed by rain in the evening.

Wednesday morning will see the rain continue, accompanied by gusty winds, especially near the water.

Wednesday night is expected to be slightly milder than Tuesday night, with temperatures dipping down to 5°C.

New Year’s Eve is forecast for a high of 7°C during the day with temperatures remaining steady into the night.

And on New Year’s Day, the forecast calls for more rain and a high of 8°C.
