An RCMP helicopter followed a road rage suspect from Langley to Richmond on Tuesday, which led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man.
Police say they were called shortly before 2:30 p.m. on April 9, after reports came in of an erratic driver around Langley’s 56 Avenue and 203 Street.
“The complainant alleged the driver had cut him off and when confronted, threatened him. Further, he alleged a firearm was present inside the [vehicle],” said Langley RCMP’s Cpl. Holly Largy in a press release.
Officers came to the area, while RCMP’s Air 1 helicopter followed the car to Richmond where the man eventually fled into a building.
Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team and the Richmond RCMP were all on scene to take the suspect into custody.
The 22-year-old, who has no fixed address and has multiple outstanding warrants, is now being held by Langley RCMP and is expected to appear in court in the next few days.
