Coquitlam's Cactus Club Cafe along Barnet Highway (7A) is one of seven Tri-Cities restaurants participating in the 2023 Dine Out Vancouver tour.

A smorgasbord of delicious seared, fried and baked foods will be served across the Tri-Cities later this month.

Dine Out Vancouver has mapped out its 2023 regional tour in continuing, what organizers claim to be, "Canada's largest food and drink" festival stretching from the North Shore to Chilliwack.

There are 370 restaurants and businesses participating in the 17-day event, including seven in the Tri-Cities, said to be the most ever to sign up for the annual campaign according to Destination Vancouver.

All are set to offer patrons multi-course meals at discounted rates, while honouring local chefs and the hospitality industry.

Five establishments in Coquitlam and Port Moody are returning for Dine Out Vancouver.

And this time, there will be an extra stop along the route in Port Coquitlam with one featured eatery (in alphabetical order by community):

"Dine Out is coming back bigger and stronger than ever, the record number of local restaurants taking part this year shows how strongly our culinary scene has been rebuilding from the challenges of the past few years," said Royce Chwin, Destination Vancouver president and CEO, in a news release on Wednesday (Jan. 11).

How it works

Each Tri-Cities restaurant is set to feature a custom menu for the festival. The plates range from scrumptious seafood and flavourful steak to west-coast barbecue and woodfire oven pizza.

Interested patrons are encouraged to book a reservation in advance via the festival's website (see below), especially if planning to visit more than one restaurant.

Chwin explained there are three fixed menu prices — $20 to 34, $35 to $49, or $50 to $65 — in order to get the most out of the event's experience.

As well, 18 "special events" are scheduled to take place during the festival, which runs from Jan. 20 to Feb. 5.
