Environment Canada is calling for at least one last dump of winter on Saturday

We’re almost definitely going to get some snow in Richmond this week, as winter gives us one last reminder that it’s not dead yet.

According to Environment Canada (EC), there is a 40 per cent chance of flurries on Wednesday night.

But the biggest chance of what we hope is the last snowfall of the year, will be throughout Saturday, with EC predicting the white stuff for most of the Metro Vancouver region.

From its weather station at Vancouver International Airport, EC is forecasting a 40 per cent chance of flurries tonight in Richmond, with wind gusts of up to 70 km/h and the temperatures hovering around freezing.

Thursday will see the mercury plummet to -9 overnight with the wind chill and only just rising above zero during the day.

Similar freezing temperatures will prevail on Friday, but with the sun expected to be shining.

Then comes the aforementioned snow on Saturday, followed by rain or wet snow on Sunday.
