Three brewers from Port Moody’s renowned Brewers Row on Murray Street have won medals at the 17th annual Canadian Brewing Awards.

Twin Sails was recognized with a gold medal in the Imperial Stout category for its Str8 Flexin’ winter brew which the brewery describes as a “big, full-bodied stout” with “huge aromas of chocolate fudge on the nose” along with balanced roasted espresso and vanilla flavours.

The beer previously won a gold medal at the 2017 BC Beer Awards.

Parkside Brewing’s Humans - An IPA for the People won a silver in the New England-style pale ale category. The dry-hopped India Pale Ale is brewed with a mix of Cashmere, Mosaic, El Dorado and Citra hops that give it the flavours of tropical fruit, lemon rind and peach, according to the brewer’s website.

And Yellow Dog Brewing rounded out the podium finishes with a bronze medal in the Session Ale category for its seasonal, hazy pale ale, Squirrel Chaser

The brewing awards recognize Canada’s best beers in 55 style categories brewed by the country’s more than 700 craft breweries.
