UPDATE: Missing girl found safe, says Surrey RCMP

Nine-year-old Judith Uwamahoro was last seen in Surrey on Friday afternoon and has not been spotted or heard from since, police say.

UPDATE: Police said Saturday afternoon that the nine-year-old had been located safely.

Police in Surrey are asking for the public's help in locating a missing nine-year-old girl. 

According to Surrey RCMP, Judith Uwamahoro was last seen at around 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, in a residential area near the 12200 block of 99th Avenue in Surrey. She has not been heard from since, and police say her family is concerned for her well-being. 

Uwamahoro is Black, stands at 4’7″ and weighs approximately 80 pounds. She has short black hair and brown eyes.

Mounties say the nine-year-old was last seen wearing a white cardigan sweater, dark pants, and grey running shoes.
