A 19-year-old man is facing sexual assault charges related to two separate, public incidents this summer.

The first occurred on July 6 around 7:30 p.m. when a 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted while on the escalator at the Granville SkyTrain Station, according to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).

The suspect fled the scene. Transit police began an investigation at the time.

The second incident was just a day later, on July 7. Around 2 p.m. a 38-year-old woman reported being assaulted on West Broadway near Ash Street.

The VPD and Metro Vancouver Transit Police were both involved in the investigations, which led to the arrest of Bryce Michael Flores-Bebington. He was arrested by the VPD Thursday morning and faces two counts of sexual assault. He is currently in police custody and will be in court Oct. 13.
