Suspect's identity sought in Coquitlam restaurant robbery from late 2020

Nearly a year after the incident, RCMP are releasing details as a woman was caught on camera in Church's Chicken taking money and fleeing on foot.

Almost a year after a Coquitlam fast-food restaurant was robbed, RCMP are hoping the public can help identify the suspect believed to be involved.

Photos and a description of the woman were released by Mounties in an updated release today (Nov. 3). 

The incident took place after 1:40 a.m. in the early morning of Dec. 11, 2020.

According to police, with her hands in her pockets, the suspect indicated she had a gun and demanded money from the cashier at Church's Chicken — located at #5-555 North Rd.

Coquitlam RCMP spokesperson Const. Deanna Law says all efforts to identify the suspect have come up short.

"The female suspect fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash," she explains.

No employees or patrons were physically injured during the incident. Police are releasing images of the female suspect in hopes that the public can aid in identifying her and advance the criminal investigation.

The suspect is described as:

  • 5'8"
  • 30 to 40 years old
  • Heavy build
  • Blonde to light brown hair
  • Wearing...
    • Black track pants
    • Black hoodie with Mud Brothers logo
    • White runners
    • Black non-medical mask
